The Roamingwood Sewer & Water Assoc. and South Wayne County Water & Sewer Authority Board of Directors came together this past fall and took advantage of some magnificent rates in the current Bond Market. Together they called in the original 2010 Bond Issuance, which was established to help fund Stage 1 of the project, and reissued new Bonds at 1.6%. The Bond Issuance is just over $28 million and was finalized without extending the life of the Bond. This new issuance realizes a $4.5 million in savings over its life. With the current economic uncertainty and increased cost for many vital resources, we are thrilled to announce that we are able to pass this savings on to our customers, as a stay in rate increase for 2022.
Our Organization and Community are very fortunate to have a management team and governing boards that are always working together toward creative and stable financial well-being, without compromising our quality of service to our customers. RS&W is looking forward to continuing to be an innovative and reliable provider of water and wastewater treatment. We look forward to announcing some other exciting news in 2022, that will bring our commitment to the environment and community to a whole new level.
We are grateful to all of you for your patience, as we continue to rebuild the old infrastructure that was so badly deteriorated. There is an end in sight to this endeavor and our focus, from the beginning, has been to create a culture of integrity, preparedness, and service to the Hideout Community. Our goal is for this system and organization be in reliable service to you, for many years to come.
