PFAS Information

PFAS, or per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, are a group of man-made chemicals found in various consumer products and industrial processes. They are notorious for their persistence in the environment and in human bodies, where they can accumulate over time. Concerns about their potential health risks have led governments worldwide to take action. In the United States, the EPA has initiated efforts to limit PFAS emissions, enhance monitoring, and develop technologies for their removal from water and soil. This includes setting stricter regulations and guidelines to reduce exposure and clean up contaminated sites.
